We were driving our golf cart through town the other day when we hit a bump and heard a “snap”….
That’s right….the leaf spring just snapped in half as we were driving through town.
Just our luck, the “incident’ occurred in front of Hermanos Hardware and a mechanic…that’s right. As soon as the leaf spring on our cart snapped, Ali from Hermanos Hardware ran out of his store and Franco (the mechanic) ran across the street to see how they could help.
Ali said he could order us the leaf spring and Franco said he could fix it for us….all they had to do was push the golf cart across the street.
And all we had to do was just come back after lunch.
Awesome….that’s easy! But we had some errands to run and were in need of another cart to use…..that’s another “just our luck”….Ali rented us a golf cart to use so we could run the errands while we waited for Franco to install the new leaf spring.
We were glad that our rental cart was red, because if it was a different color all of our friends might have been confused when they saw us driving around town.
We hopped in our zippy rental cart and ran our errands…..we drove down to the SAGA Humane Society to make a donation and then stopped at Sandbar to make a donation towards the rebuilding of some of the San Mateo homes that were destroyed in the hurricane.
Next up, lunch!
It was the first day of Lisa’s birthday month, so we went to celebrate at Blue Water Grill.
Not a bad view while we waited for the mechanic to fix our cart, right?
After only two short hours and a delicious lunch we went from this….
With our shiny new leaf spring we were ready to roll!
What a great way for Lisa to celebrate day one of her birthday month: lunch at Blue Water Grill AND a new leaf spring for the golf cart?
What more could a girl ask for?
This is just another example of why we love living in San Pedro!
